A great choice if you want a clean and safe place

A very clean and safe hostel in a nice compound with lots of greenery and birds. The flock of geese was a very nice touch (if you don't mind their honking in the morning!). The food was decent but nothing more can be said about it and the choice was quite limited, so you might consider eating out once in a while.
While the place might have a monastic touch to it, it's nothing overbearing even if you're not the religious type. You might hear some singing from the chapel or see a religious painting on a wall, but that's all. On the other hand outside visitors are not allowed beyond the lounge area, so that's something you might want to consider.
It's certainly not a fun or romantic place to be, but it makes for a very nice stay if you just want a clean, safe and somewhat out of the ordinary stay in Chennai, so I higly recommend it.
