This is one Indian hotel where I'd really like to see the uniquitous twig broom retired and replaced by a vacuum cleaner. The room was really grubby except for the central walking areas covered by the twig broom. Similarly the bathroom had not been cleaned in a very long time and the tiles )floor and walls) were encrusted with fatty grime. A very basic twin room, not even clean, and it cost 1700 INR per night before taxes. I've srayed in lots of government run hotels throughout India. This was one of the worst. No privacy either, the way room boys kept knocking on the door when told to go away, through the door, and then lingered once the door was opened. If they were being attentive they could have made themselves more useful by doing some basic housecleaning.
