Negatives: rooms a little "basic" (but then why would you want to lie in your room?)
We thoroughly enjoyed our homestay with Nazir and Rosie, who are interesting, open people. The area is beautiful and still unspoilt, though I do have my fears as to what may happen here in the next few years. The food is a high point - delicious and varied Keralan food, always with at least one seafood dish, and plenty of fruit too. Hammocks to laze in, and a canoe to borrow for the mini-backwater by the house. One minute's walk to the (pristine) beach, with an even more beautiful one 5-10 (it's hot!) minutes away.
