Jasvilas was probably our favourite hotel during our recent stay in India (August 2008).
The rooms were impeccably clean, serviced daily, with great bathrooms (one of the few baths we had during our stay in India), toiletries etc. We had two rooms for the six of us, and they provided comfortable extra beds. The rooms were spacious - we looked out over the front lawn, with a great verandah for sitting out on. At the back (and where most rooms look) is a great pool, which the children loved after hot dusty days sightseeing. The AC worked a dream - nice modern, quiet AC.
The food was fantastic! They do a set breakfast, and if you let them know in advance, a set evening meal which for Rs 300 was great value, and probably the most delicious food we had in India (soup, freshly prepared buffet of six or so curries, rice, roti, dessert). Totally yummy, and they kept trying to persuade us to eat more - no stingy portions! Service was great - helpful, without being OTT.
About the only negative thing is that you have to go in an Auto everywhere, but there were always a couple hanging around at the gate, so that was never a problem. There is also a little supermarket next door which was great for stocking up on snacks, toiletries etc.
