The first time I stayed here, five years ago, I would have rated this hotel 10 stars. I stayed there again in December 2007 and was disappointed to find the staff indifferent, the rooms need repairs/ painting and the prices were some of the highest in town. Admittedly, it was high season, but I don't think this is necessarily justifies raising rates to whatever the market will bear, particularly when there was little quality on offer compared to other guest houses. On the other hand, the location is superb.
