Clean enough and comfortable enough...

Clean enough and comfortable enough but our room was on the ground floor and so was quite noisy. We also had a mouse in the room which is not good as mice are now associated with the Hanta virus. We had plumbing issues too - the shower head kept flying off and the staff could not come up with a fix - not a big deal, sort of like taking a shower under a garden hose. We did ask for a different room but they were unable to accomodate us as the hotel was full up with some bus tours. They moved us to an upstairs room the following night. The restaurant's food was very good - they even cooked up some jackfruit for us that we had bought on the street. We saw a couple of mice in the dining room too. Some nice views from the roof (where guest's laundry is hung up to dry :-) No Internet in or near the hotel - grab an autorickshaw into the center of town. So, a conditional recommendation for Hello Jeypore - you could probably do a lot worse in this part of Orissa. And bring rupees with you, it's difficult to cash travelers checks or exchange dollars out here.
