It is a basic family run hotel
Overall:
Staff:
Positives: Family run and very friendly. Good food and inexpensive.
Negatives: A little bit out of the main village of Cavelossim
It is a basic family run hotel. the rooms were clean and we chose A/C also with a fan double which had a bedroom and a bathroom with shower which was very good and western facilities. There was also a sitting room with a TV in and a sofabed. A balcony to the rear.
The owner Lourenchino was really nice and helpful, he got me a big bowl of fresh fruit when my tummy was a little off for a day or two and offered to get a Doctor in but I wasnt that bad, probably just the heat. He could not do enough for us. He arranged airport pick up for us, a scooter for the 2 weeks and his taxi driver would stop and ask if we wanted a free lift back to the hotel if he passed us walking on the road.
The food was very good - people come from all over to eat at his restaurant.
I had indian breakfast some days or tea and toast. My husband had eggs and coffee. The staff were good too. They were all young lads but had the time to chat if you wanted and had all kinds of opinions on local issues. We had some really good conversations with them.
When we left the hotel to go home it was like we had been staying with family, the send of from the hotel steps was lovely, hugs all round and waves as we drove off...truely another wonderful holiday.
