absolute gem of a find. We stayed 2 nights in the maharaja room. It's huge and decorated with antique pictures and furniture. Bed was very comfortable and the attached bath was pretty big too.
There is nice park right next door where you can go for an early morning walk, or hang out at the terrace or in the lobby with other guests and strike up a conversation.
We did some great shopping at national handloom which is like 5 minute walk from the guesthouse.
Govind and Mukta are awsome hosts. I don't remember how many times we asked mukta to make tea for us and and she happily did every single time. You can talk to Govind about anything from tourism to charity. His mother was a wonderful woman too. Their little son kept us amused, he was adorable.
We really felt at home and very well taken care of. Everything was nice and clean and met some lovely guests over breakfast.
I took back a lot of happy memories. If you are looking for a homelike comfortable atmosphere and a truly caring host, this is your place.
