Positives: Nice rooms, family atmosphere, hot water tanks, setting (Karzoo) is serene
Negatives: A little out of the way in Leh, a little pricey

We arrived late at night from a 20-hr jeep ride from Manali that went awry, and we just knocked on the door, asked the rate, and then went straight to the rooms they showed us and slept (I told the owner how tired we were, and he kindly told us all to go rest, and that we could deal with all the formalities in the morning). It's a nice/quiet family's home (as are most of the guesthouses in Leh, which really are the best places to stay... forget the hotels). The rooms are nice, nearly modern. My bathroom was nice and modern and clean... and all the bathrooms have hot water geysers, so I had hot water at all times of day (so long as there was electricity). Karzoo is also a great area (it's the name of that small area, and also the road that runs through it), surrounded by farms, and only a 10-15 min walk from the main bazaar in Leh. Still, that can be a little far when put into the context of Leh. And you can find guesthouses for Rs 200 easily, so the price is a little high.
