+ A clean
Overall:
Staff:
Positives: Clean, friendly family guesthouse close to the fort with simple but pleasant rooms. Also great with kids.
+ A clean, friendly family guesthouse close to the fort (easy walking distance.
+ Our two double rooms were simply furnished but pleasant, clean and spacious.
+ The food cooked by Jitu's (owner/manager's) mother was excellent.
+ Our son thoroughly enjoyed being taught how to fly the local kites by Jitu - both from the rooftop and also from the top of a sand dune in the early morning (see below). Jitu then very generously gave him some kites to take home as a present when we left.
+ Jitu is a knowledgeable guide and he arranged a superb outing into the Thar Desert for us, using camels and jeep, with a memorable night sleeping out on the dunes, preceded by a superb meal all cooked on an open,three-stone wood fire.
+ Jitu's father works for a local charity (Urmal) which supports local villagers. He runs their local outlet/shop which is worth a visit.
