Yuk, this was the most dirty place we stayed in India (of about 20)! We are not talking about not crisp-clean, we are talking about a really dirty and badly maintained room!
I must admit we do not particularly care for friendly chats with the hosts or a good looking courtyard so that will certainly distort our opinion of this place..

FOLLOW UP:
A few days ago I got a message from an IMer telling me that Govind was shocked to find out about my bad review. She told me that -in a reaction to my review- Govind had asked her to inspect the rooms and tell him what he should improve. She told me that she agreed with me that some of the rooms needed cleaning and refurbishing and that Govind promised to do so/ did so accordingly. She now more or less asked me to be so kind to reformulate my review.
I replied that no bad experience can be undone and that a reconsideration can only be the consequence of an alternative (and hopefully better) experience. I however expressed my appreciation for Govind's prompt reaction.
I furthermore told her that I will contemplate her request.
I have now decided to remove the remarks in the negative aspect listing and upgrade my downvoting to a (mere) 6 so as to no longer severely distort the average. I however decided to keep my original post as a historic fact for every reader to witness and moreover because I believe that there would not have been any action for a long time if it would not have been for this review.
I furthermore wish the IMer that messaged me a long and good stay in Jodhpur and I (sincerely) wish Govind and his family a lot of happy customers.
