If the last comment is true, then prices must have gone up in the last eighteen months.... we paid 150 rupees for a double room there... less than five dollars! We had heard a couple of nice things about it, so when the bus stopped in a row of hotels, it caught our eye straight away, and we headed there first, making up our mind to move on to the next one if it turned out to be not too good. But it was fine, and certainly better than the one other room we saw (in a hotel just down the street, chosen by someone else on the bus), which was exactly the same price.
