In the end
Positives: Recently build, traditionally decorated hotel with roof-top restaurant and pool
Negatives: First two rooms we were offered were very small and dark - they just kept on offering us better rooms (at the same price) until we said it was OK! Had to buy our own beer from a local bottleshop, but they were happy to keep it cool and serve it to us.
In the end, after knocking back the two first rooms, a very comfortable but relatively small room (compared to our other Rajasthan accommodation all which cost less) but a good bathroom. We had asked for a private balcony, but ended up overlooking the pool with a small balcony accessible to everyone - we had to comprise. Food good. We asked for a wake-up call at 4.30am to catch our train and they rang on time. A bit out-of-the-way but would stay there again. Free puppet show most evenings beside the pool at 7pm for an hour or so, but noisy if you are trying to sleep. In November 2005 we paid R2000 per night for a Royal Deluxe room including tax, breakfast and railway pick-up service. (Have some photos but dont know how to attach them to the site - will try later.)
