Lovely place and people

We stayed here for 3 nights in september 2004, the hotel was undergoing an extension on the top to make way for another few rooms and a rooftop cafe which should be good.

We arrived with acute food poisoning,the manager and owner were wonderful, looked after us, got a doctor and sorted meds. More than we could have hoped for an for which we're really grateful.

The rooms are spotless, I also saw a few and all have good views of the Ganges - which we spent 2 days staring at from our room as we recovered - some with fan, some aircon, we paid 250 rupees per night for a fan room, also really appreciated the back up generator too. Food was excellent and they made every effort to cater for our recovering needs.

They can organise boat trips and travel to Nepal and will happily help you in and out of the winding backstreets for the old city, they'll also meet you at the train station though nothing is pushed onto you sales wise. I'd heartily recommend them, warm people who were interesting and insightful to talk to managing a comfortable place to lay your head.
