A bit tricky to confirm booking at this place but entrusted them with card details and all went well. The young lads on the desk were excellent, the location is good, the rooms nice and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were a little thin and as flights are early or late your neighbours will inevitably wake you up at some point. ... read more »

I'll admit I was lucky. I had warned the hotel of my very late arrival, and they had acknowledged my mail. When I showed up around quarter to 1 AM, they had indeed saved a room for me, and since they were full, that room was one of their two suites. Very large room, good bed, no hotel noises as you are up some stairs that only ... read more »

This is a decent mid range hotel, and the price is not bad considering it is Mumbai. We found the staff to be quite helpful, they directed us to a nearby restaurant. ... read more »

Rating:
Well, we read so many good reviews about this place, we booked it for our first 4 nights in India, straight off the plane. The room that was 'pre-booked' for us was awful. It was in a new wing that wasn't finished yet and still stank of paint fumes. The room wasn't that clean and there were opened water bottles in the fridge. ... read more »

From Airport about 50 minutes by taxi late at night (almost no traffic) INR 350 one way. Excellent hotel, very clean, so tidy bathrooms, bright elevator, really same standard as Holiday Inns in Canada. Rooms may be available for long periods 3-6 months. Laundry service in basement. Bright restaurant, internet service available ... read more »

The prepaid taxi from the international airport should be about Rs350!!! And an airconditioned taxi would be about Rs400. Also the room rates are more now. Single Room is Rs1400 to Rs1500 plus 10% tax and Double Room is Rs1500 to Rs1650 plus 10% tax. Extra ... read more »
I stayed here in November 2005

I stayed here in November 2005. I agree this hotel is very nice and well worth the 2000+ rupees I spent when I made the reservation via the Internet. But a word to the wise, the Internet site is NOT the hotel's site. Instead, it is run by an agent that works for the hotel. Thus, there is a bit of disconnect AND it has higher ... read more »

Thanks for the great hotel reference : The Residency Hotel. Following your recommendation, we stayed there and enjoyed the reasonable room and friendly, helpful staff. We did "upgrade" to a delux room, which bought us a bit more space. Their restaraunt did OK for breakfast, but there are other great restaraunts close ... read more »

Have been in the hotel last week, and as both of you says, the hotel is a very good option for a mid-range hotel in Bombay, and even better that several 4 star hotels at less than half price. The only negative thing is that even with the reservation made via internet and confirmed one month ago, they tried (the man in reception) ... read more »
