An 18th century, two storey building completely renovated to serve the modern traveller. Two types of Rooms are available at 1000 or 1200 IRS [depending on size] per day [non-A/C]. All rooms are equipped with Air-Conditioning Units, which can be availed at an additional daily cost of 600 IRS/per Room.

while I stayed at Rain Tree 5 nights, my review is not as effusive as the others. I paid 2000Rs/night (all rooms are doubles, and all cost the same) and in my opinion, not worth the price whatsoever.

This is a gem of a guesthouse. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and quiet, with brilliant staff. Have to agree with the others in that it was one of the best places I have ever stayed in India.
Prices are now 1800 RS a night (Jan 2007). Best room is number 5.

Raintree Lodge is an extremely pleasant place to stay on Fort Coochin. It is very handy to the sites and all the facilties.
