Andhrapradesh Governement owned Punnami beach resorts is bit far from City (It's approximately 12 kms from the city) in a small hillet just 500 metre from sea. We stayed there around Feb 2005 and it's a real nice place to stay. Around 30 rooms with big Windows (Ask for the first floor rooms). 15 blocks all with G+1 floors(2 rooms in each block). It has a very big Double bed & a Mega window overlooking the sea and a big sitout(Balcony) with few chairs. Sunrise is excellent to watch righ from your bed Or from the balcony.Only drawback is restaurant does not have much varieties and whatever they have also is just average.And cab from Vishakapattinam(Vizag) Railway station is 250 Rs.Beach is extraordinarily beautiful and abosolutely No crowd as it's bit far from the city. We got cab arranged by the frontdesk and visited city(?!), RK beach etc and also araku Valley & More interesting Borra Caves(It costed 2000rs for a fullday trip).Excellent place for scenic beauty & peace of mind. A/C, TV,Hotwater,Restaurant(?!) & Bar
