Were forced into staying here during the mumbai terror attacks. we were given a 50% 'discount' by the lady at the airport hotel desk but it was still a rip off(3500). The first room we were given smelt so strongly of pain thinners you couldn't breathe so we were relocated to a better larger room on the third floor (which i suspect ... read more »

The room was more than uncleaned, it looked like it had been used by construction workers to store their tools. An excellent place to unwind from a long overseas journey. After six weeks of traveling in S India, the Residency still wins the prize for most comfy beds and I would have hated to spend my first night in some of the beds I've spent subsequent nights. The location of this place really couldn't be bettered, just yards from Marine Drive, close to the restaraunts on VN Road and an easy walk from Colaba. Breakfast is no longer free but, at Rs 60, is still a great bargain. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - and the place is absolutely spotless.
