Very nice large clean room with counter space/closet. Quiet. Good restaurant, but a snooty waiter didn't like me bringing my local friend in for dinner. Breakfast never started at 7, as advertised, sometimes not ready till 8:30. Desk scoffed when I asked for discount for longer stay, saying the tsunami was only reason they had a room at all. Overall, a good place, but I'd look elsewhere--there's better value and attitudes in town. phones, TV, 24 hr hot water, room service, ample toiletries and towels. I spent New Years Eve here 2007, and paid a slightly higher price for the holiday. Easy booking over the internet, though had to pay in advance. There are many nice, small places with good amenities in Mamallapuram. If I were to go back, I might spend the first night here and look for another "as good as" place ... read more »
