This is a lovely little homestay in a backroad in Alleppey. The people are the nicest bunch of crackers, particullary Johnson himself.
It has a nice garden with serveral dogs running around and it's really relaxing to just hang out there.
The hotel arranges backwater trips for around 6000 Rs for a regular size boat and 9000 for the really huge one. The hotel has free pick ups from the bus stand and the train station Johnson's Rates and Room Information
750 RS Huge rooms with bath. The rooms in the main house is better

For 750 we had a huge room, with big bathroom, all very clean, mosquito nets, and the owners very friendly. The 3 young boys helping are a bit tip greedy though, dont let them carry your bag they will demand a tip for each of them! ... read more »

We stayed there 4 nights in December 2008. For 750 rs, we had the most specious room with a shower and always hot water. A disadvantage of this room is the private balcony, it is situated halfway on the stairways. De other two rooms in the house have their balconies directly connected.
