Jasvilas was probably our favourite hotel during our recent stay in India (August 2008). The rooms were impeccably clean, serviced daily, with great bathrooms (one of the few baths we had during our stay in India), toiletries etc. We had two rooms for the six of us, and they provided comfortable extra beds. The rooms were ... read more »

We picked Jas Vilas because of its close proximity to the train station and quiet residential neighborhood. The place was clean, the room was sufficient, the food was average, atmosphere was homey, the swimming pool was petite, there was internet for the guests, they accept credit card, but it was still a bit pricy at 2800Rs ... read more »

I don't hesitate to recommend Jas Villas to anyone that's not on a tight budget. Mahendra and Lily were extremely hospitable, friendly and helpful. The home cooked meals are a must and the rooms are beautiful, comfortable and a delight to stay in. ... read more »

Out of seven hotels/guesthouses I stayed at in India, this was my favorite. Every member of the staff that I had contact with was genuinely friendly. The place has a nice laid back atmosphere and everyone seems happy to be there. My room was nice and clean though the somewhat odd brown/green color scheme took some getting ... read more »

January 2006 Try the evening meals, Perhaps a little pricier than you'd pay if hunting around town, But you certainly wouldn't get the quality & quantity that they put on for you, beautiful setting in the dining room & well presented. Lily is proud to show you the kitchen & it's just like you'd have at home, ... read more »

Thums up for Jas Vilas We have just been staying at Jas Vilas for 12 days. Ever since our last visit to Rajasthan 3 years ago, we have had this dream of going back and doing some powershopping for our house. Before our trip we got in contact with Lilly on this site and they made us believe we could do it. And we did. But ... read more »

Jasvilas! & my first trip to India Thanks to indiamike.com, I found Lily & Mahendra a few days before departing for Delhi and what a find that was! After a couple of weeks working in Delhi, we headed off on a two-week tour of Rajasthan, organised by Mahendra. I've done the back-packing thing many times before in ... read more »

We stayed at Jasvilas in early Jan. We enjoyed our stay immensely and highly recommend Jasvilas. The room was spotless and spacious. The whole hotel was lovely, and it felt like home quickly. Mahendra provided us with maps, arranged local taxis, and gave us tips on where to go from the start. Both he and Lily were fun to talk ... read more »

Never go to Jaipur without staying there I will even say that it should be illegal to go to India without staying a couple of days with Mahendra & Lily (and their sons if they are there). We mailed them from home (Denmark), and they were very helpful finding a car/driver to meet us at the train station in Udaipur ... read more »
Well let me add my two cents
by mdchachi on Oct 16, 2005.
Well let me add my two cents. Out of the four places we stayed in India, JasVilas was definitely the best. Certainly the facilities were top notch but, more importantly, the personal care that Mahendra gave us in terms of helping us with our plans and our time in Jaipur was what really helped make our time there enjoyable. And ... read more »
