The hotel is in a relatively closed off area at the end of a road, next to the beach. It has quite a large courtyard, with the rooms on one side and a swimming pool and restaurant on the other. Good: A big, clean swimming pool. Good breakfast in the restaurant. Close to the beach and the Shore Temple. Not so good: The single was a bit cramped. There was no hot water during my stay. Shower, western style toilet. Hotel Sea Breeze Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram) Rates and Room Information
Low season: 300-400 Rs for a single with private bathroom, without AC. If you want to relax by the pool after some gritty travel, this is excellent value for money.

Nice restaurant except they seemed to think I would happily eat lobster and tiger prawns every day. ... read more »
