spacious, plain rooms with private bathroom - all open onto veranda, which can be private if you get a room at the end. staff is exceptionally friendly. this hotel is off varkala's beaten path (the cliffs) and is closer to the "town" and the beach. it's close to the temple, which can make for some early mornings. no a/c in room we were in.
