A small guest house with live in cook & cleaner. The owner (Kurian) comes every day to talk with guests and help out. His English is perfect and he is very well educated. The guest house supplies all meals which are included. Can even get cold beer for you. Guest are usually from Europe or UK and often return many times. The buiding was an old weaving mill. It consists of a central large area dining area surrounded by the guest rooms. The food was consistently the best we had in Kerala. helpful staff. The owner is VERY helpful & knowledgeable. solitude - deserted beaches, quiet country lanes. no beggars. friendly village locals. five double rooms all with good clean large hot & cold shower / toilet. . telephone in foyer. . fans each room No TV Costa Malabari Guest House Kannur Rates and Room Information

Stayed here in November 2009, two weeks.
The owner and staff are very nice, Kurian will help you with all your problems - and he speaks very good english.
Our room was nice, pretty good size, with mosquito nets allready there,as well as around the windows. Fan in the ceiling, no ac. It could get pretty hot. Bug common ... read more »

I paid 1250 rupees per night in early May. This includes full board, but I feel that it's not a great value for money. The food was good, though I was suffering from stomach problems at the time so I couldn't fully enjoy it.
