We spent 7 days at the wild grass in early December 2012. The staff was very helpful. The food was mostly very good and always plenty. The lodge guide, Budeswara, could not have been better. It was supposedly the best hotel in town. Though that is saying very little. It's not clean, but it does have hot water. You can get AC rooms, but only two can provide AC when the generator is on. Great place, very helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble. Book well in advance as it's very popular with tour groups. Good jeeps and drivers. Involved in local conservation efforts and working with local communities. Prices have increased since 2002 but still good value in 2006. Will definitely go back! ... read more »
