A friendly, family run place with a very peaceful garden. The guest house is set in a quiet area of the Orchards below Old Manali, about 5 minutes walk from most of the restaurants. Love it for its peace and quiet. With only four rooms it never feels crowded and usually attracts interesting people. The shared bathroom and toilet are kept very clean. The garden is full of flowers in summer, and the roof has a great view of the mountains and hillsides. Its family run, very friendlyand helpful people and as theres always someone around during the season its good for security. No dislikes at all that I can think of. Shared bathroom with hot shower, seperate toilet. Kitchen for the usual types of food, and you can use it to cook if you have the urge. 4 basic, clean comfortable double rooms. Beautiful garden. Phone for incoming calls. Apple View Guest House Manali Rates and Room Information

This is the most spacious, cleanest and among the cheapest accomodation I have got in my two trips to India. And the location is beautiful, so is the family taking care of this guesthouse.
I've taken some pictures for the guesthouse and set up a webpage for them here. http://zoossh.wordpress.com/apple-view-paying-guest-house/

This is so far the best place I've stayed at in HP, and you won't regret coming here--everything is in place for a GH of this price range. The bathrooms are clean and cleaned everything morning. Hot water was reliable. Clothes washing was allowed on the rock by the kitchen, with many rooftop clotheslines. The owner, Rabat, plays ... read more »

I arrived on 22 September 06 after a 14 hour trip form Delhi.
Based on the Neoncarrot info, things have changed a bit. A first floor has been added to the ground giving 4 extra rooms, a balcony and shower/toilet block, a mirror of downstairs.
The rooms are large and 3 of the 4 have double aspect windows, wardrobe, two comfy ... read more »

We also stayed here. It was beautiful, like living in a country orchard above the roaring river. The owner is sweet. The apples, delicious. We loved the cow Lali and her son Mangley most though! Oh, and great price (125 - 150 Rs). ... read more »
