An excellent and real village homestay. Very comfortable rooms and good hosts. The food was right from over the stove and the coal and gas burners got us through the cold winters. The village gaunap itself is so enchanting- the forests around,the birdlife and the views of the himalayan ranges from the temple just 10mins away. ... read more »

Good, but dirty
I stayed at Kailash and chatted with the wonderful Mr Shah. Nice place, atmospheric old house... but it's one of the dirtiest guesthouses I've visited in India so far.
