I have stayed there 4 times in the past few years. On my last journey to Delhi, I was informed that the always helpful manager (a young man of around 25 years) had died and his partner had taken over control Since then, the hotel standards slipped in many ways.

The first time I stayed here, five years ago, I would have rated this hotel 10 stars. I stayed there again in December 2007 and was disappointed to find the staff indifferent, the rooms need repairs/ painting and the prices were some of the highest in town. This hotel is a 30 minute walk along busy Chetganj to Dasaswamedh ghat.
There is a pool and a lawn in the garden, although while I was there the pool was empty of water, and there was very little seating in the garden.

The rooms are business-class/modern in style, with well appointed bathrooms, and very clean.
The hotel is situated on a corner, conveniently near to Park Street and Shakespeare Sarani.

Clean enough and comfortable enough but our room was on the ground floor and so was quite noisy. We also had a mouse in the room which is not good as mice are now associated with the Hanta virus. It is a basic family run hotel. the rooms were clean and we chose A/C also with a fan double which had a bedroom and a bathroom with shower which was very good and western facilities. There was also a sitting room with a TV in and a sofabed. A balcony to the rear.
